Traveling between areas

Hi guys,

I was wondering: is the tram the only tool allowing you to travel between the levels? Or can you use something else? Or maybe, at some point in the story, it allows you to select the area you want to travel to? I just reach the R&D department and I know that I missed some circuits which required a core power of 75, which I didn't have at that time. Or are those meant for NG+?

Those high core power unlock upgrade materials that let you upgrade to Mk V.

Those same upgrade materials disappear if you have not used them by New Game+.

The materials also occasionally drop from end game enemies.

Also, New Game+ will allow you to upgrade your gear past Mk V with more common materials, so you're good to go without Mk V.

Edit: Answering the Tram question, I think when I was playing the game, threre were only three trams (to the starter area, to the biolabs, and to the center of the map), but no fast travel that I am aware of.
