Getting Scrap out of boss fights.

I have 60k scrap stuck in the 4th boss fight.
Any way to get that out without killing the boss?
Its not a big deal if its not possible, it will just be a huge payday when I smash him.

Your scrap pickup is placed based on where you were a couple seconds before you actually die, so if you go into the fight, pick up your scrap, and die as soon as possible, you could get your pickup to move to right outside the boss arena. If it's at the far end of the arena, you could try moving closer to where you enter then die there to make it easier to get it out.

Thats a shame.
When you combo that with the pickup timer, it feels like I can't do anything else in the game at the moment. I'm not frustrated enough to just willingly give up on a pile that big. Hopefully I just die on the way, but the run is easy enough that is probably not gonna happen.

Not a big fan of the timer anymore.
