Can't move mouse after alt-tabbing out

I'll alt-tab out the game and when I go back in I can't move my mouse past a certain point in the pause menu and I can barely move it at all in game...

Do you use any software for custom mouse speeds or sensitivities? It kind of sounds like Windows is getting the mouse sensitivity wrong after alt-tabbing which in turn might be caused by software to customize mouse sensitivity in games.
