Has anyone made a list of missable stuff?
Been playing through the game for the first time and I can't help but wonder just what can be missed during a playthrough. Doesn't seem like there are any guides on it as far as I know. The few existing ones tend to not be up to date either.

For the most part you can backtrack and find anything you missed so I don't think there are that many permanently missable things but there are a few.

I'm going off the top of my head but here's my list:
1. NPC side quests (all 5 of them). These are mostly important for lore and achievements but two of them (Irina and Jo) do give you unique weapons. Also worth noting, you can complete Irina's quest but miss her weapon drop anyway.
2. Sunglasses: These are tricky, the easiest way to get them involves skipping Jo's side quest but I've heard you can complete her quest and get them if you complete her quest before entering her hideout.
3. Boss Hardcore weapons: Pretty obvious, you get these through doing the hardcore kill on bosses (duh!) so if you don't manage to do the hardcore kill you won't get them (technically the same is true for the regular boss weapons but the hardcore ones are straight upgrades so missing the regular one is less of a concern).
4. Black Cerberus Armor: This is related to Boss hardcore weapons since getting the full set of schematics in a single play-through requires destroying the white cylinders during the boss fight.
5. The Infidel and Most Wanted achievements have to be done before R&D.
6. In the DLC you can miss saving Rusty Rat.

I think that's it for things you can permanently miss. There's plenty of hidden things but you can almost always backtrack to find them later if you want.

Interesting. So general items like implants aren't really missable then? I'm already aware of the special boss item requirements.

Well, they are sitting out in the open, and the game lets you backtrack to your heart's content. So not 'missable' as in you get one shot at acquiring them. Also, since NG+ and beyond are things here, you can always get them next go round.

A couple of the NPC quests give implant or weapon rewards so those are missable but other than that not really. There are some implants, weapons and collectibles that are in obscure locations so you might miss collecting them but the areas remain accessible and enemies respawn so you can always backtrack to collect them at any point up until the final boss.

With two exceptions Implants are only gotten from pre-placed loot points or quest rewards so you can only get each drop once per playthrough. So if you scrap an implant you won't get that specific instance of it again until NG+. That being said, for most implants there are several copies in the game so you'll eventually find a replacement (possibly a more powerful version).

The exceptions are the two types of Auxillary Power Cores which are gotten by cutting the tail off a Bloodhound.

Wait. So I missed out on one of those implants if I accidentally killed one of the Bloodhounds in Discarded Safety Equipment without destroying its tail first? If so that sucks. Makes me wanna restart the game 'cause I'm OCD about collecting stuff. Haha.

Don't worry, once you get to Biolabs there are a bunch of bloodhounds that respawn so you can farm infinite power cores if you want.

That's a relief. Thanks!

There are a lot of things you can miss, especially some upgraded mod versions are well hidden. Alway check the ceiling if there are pipes etc. with stuff on it and remember the location, because at one point you get a chance to drop down on it from above. Remember all security doors. Remember all drone activation spots.

There are a lot of extra corridors and rooms that are optional and contain unique items. In the dlc for example, there a very cool weapon hidden behind some ad hologram boards which you must open via a drone board that is also hidden.

There some type of implant that you can loot only once per playthrough and are absolutly a must have to me : the Kinasthetic Amplifier / Tactile Omni-Boost (increases weapon proficiency) ; Voltaic Dynamo v.2 (increases energy gain) ; Red X-Cables (reduces energy coast).

There is also all the implants from the DLC A walk in the Park like the Vital Boost XL / Endurance Enhancer XL.

I wouldn't go into another NG+ without collecting all of them.
