PAX glitch?

First encounter with him, I've been dancing around for about 5 minutes wailing on the back of his legs. His health bar hasn't budged, and the orange "missle attack" bar has been full for a while now too. He's only done his missle attack once, and hasn't went down yet (as in stunned). Am I missing something here?

When he launches his missles, run under him so they will hit him, then start smashing him, do this a couple of times and you win.

Ah ok. I guess he's just being greedy with the missles lol. I thought in order to get his weapon though you have to beat him without the missles hitting him?

I did this yesterday and still got the weapon :). took me many deaths to beat him hahaha.

I think there are 2 weapon drops though? Their regular drop and their "true weapon" drop which requires meeting special conditions. I could be wrong on that though. I'll look more into that after I beat him regular

And I found this on the Boss weapon guide available in the guides section:

"P.A.X. Imperator v2.0 - 1h rigged - confirmed
Do not let him damage himself with his rockets, instead you need to break the covers on the front of the legs and then hit the leg that's still on the ground during his stomp."

So that's the dealio with that. With him being so close to the med station I feel inclined to farm him a few times to try and get it lol

All Bosses have a "hard kill" for their v2.0 weapon, Black Cerberus gets you his full armour set and his v2.0 weapon.

PAX can be a pain to do as the area is small and he has an annoying habit of shooting himself by hitting overhead objects. You have to try manoeuvring him into an area where he can shoot clearly. I myself couldn't be bothered as the Imperator isn't my choice of weapon.

I had to do him 3 times as twice he jumped into the area he gets up from and the missiles exploded on the shipping containers as he fired them. Also I only attacked a single leg for the first orange bar and right after he did the missile attack the cover came off on the first attack, same for the other leg. Second leg is easier as he only raises the damaged leg to stomp.
