Black Cerberus WTF?!

How the ♥♥♥♥ do you do this. I have probably tried this over a hundred times now and I die the cheapist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ways ever. Black Cerberus himself is easy. Just dodge, hit him then smack him down with your drone. Rinse and repeat. But those stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechs. There not hard to take down but the lock on system and camera system in this game is so damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that as sson as you try and do something near him your camera goes all ♥♥♥♥♥ and you end up dodging the wrong way and get stopped of sliced being an instant death.

I know about those barrels too that if you get him to shoot his rockets at them you only have to kill one mech. Fair enough but he just sits in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner shooting rockets and wont go anywhere else. You try and get near him and he will either fire two rockets faster than you can heal or he will jump at you and insta kill you.

Ive tried this so many ways and so many times. I love how hard this game is and I love the challange, but this is honestly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Camera and lock system are broken on this boss

Just like every boss fight and encounter in the game, it seems impossible then all the sudden...its not. The real challenge comes from not murdering Black Cerberus in a fit of rage and missing out on his armor set and weapon. On my second play through I had to pause the game and calm the F down because by the time Black Cerb came out I wanted to throw everything I had at him.

Nah thats not even what this is. I know all the moves of these guys. I just tried 5 more times and everytime cheap glitchy stupid death. My last attempt the mech just came out and slide under him and he just swats me dead before he even moved into the area. Of course I couldnt dodge cause the camera was linked to his leg I was going for and the camera started spinning around.

I cant play this game anymore. It was amazing up tell now. I love hard games but this isnt hard.Its broken

during the mech fight stand in front of the power supplies or whatever they are. One is by the lift you come down and the other is in the far corner. Make him shoot rockets at you and dodge so it blows up the generators. Doing this will only have you fight one mech. After he blows up the generators just fight him the same as in the first act. Get under its legs and do damage until he drops then attack the body. After that just clean up Cerberus.

What weapon and what implant are you using?

I did not bother with the white tanks, I do not mind fighting several PAXes. My weapon does 165 damage, my concussion drone does 41 damage.

I made sure I did a lot of damage to Black Cerberus, his health bar should be almost half way after the first encounter. With PAX do not lock onto him so the camera is free. Hit one leg until his "shoe" comes off, then the other. Then when he lifts one leg, hit the other, the one he is standing on. Instant meltdown. Repeat.

This was the hardest boss fight for me out of the entire game. It took me about 3 games sessions, over 3 days. I must have dies about 30 times. What helped me was;

1 - Maxing out the number of implants I had for my rig. I think that was 12 slots.
2 - Changing up my implants, to have 9 instant heals. I would first try to use my energy for a heal. But would use 1 of the 9, if things got tricky.
3 - I used the roll/slide left/right to avoid melee attacks and rocket attacks from the PAX. I also did this for avoiding Black Cerebeus attacks.
4 - Being patient and calm. That's hard for me. But when I was able to focus and concentrate on avoiding attack, then attack, repeat I was able to finally finish the encounter. Every time I got too aggressive, or impatient, then I would die.

right sorry, there is a range where he will jump to you like you said. Bait him to jump to you. When he jumps towards you run towards him as he's jumping towards you and as soon as you're clear turn around and fun. Ack to him and get under his legs.

You're right that the camera can be your worst enemy in a tight corner so bait him out a bit just be ready to get under him asap when you dodge his jump.DIRECLY under him, not on either side(especially his right, your left) cause he will 2 shot you if he hits you with his weapon.

Well maybe that's the issue. This is the first game I've played like this. I'm sure I'll keep trying. I just rage quite super hard today haha.

Dark souls isn't hard, and its a lot easier to get more power in Dark soul compared to Surge.

Not at all, Souls are harder than the Surge, the Surge has to be the fairest in the sub-genre, and still manages to look tough as nails. Did you ever finish any Souls game solo?

I just love how an attack GOES OVER MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HEAD and yet it still "hits" me... if the AI/NPC's had to validate their actual hits like the player has to.. then it would be a completely different game. Im still stuck on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fight after... oh..... i lost count... I switch weaps appropriately, i can take down a PAX easy enough.. its the damn camera not doing what i want, the roll not switching leg targets when i want it to, the bounding boxes being horrible, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ E button for health giving me "DERP" when theres either a charge available or energy availble, wasting my time (i should be able to hit E in the middle or a move or not.. having to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stand nearly still to have it activate is bloody stupid), and just the overall "GOTCHA" tricks the game pulls to kill you. Never played much of these style of game much. I get the toughness of the whole thing.. but gimmicky crap like this is straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Love getting hit by a stomp 5 feet away...
