I agree, I only knew it was a thing from the videos I have seen of the game.
I think Deck 13 should maybe patch in an extra tutorial to The Surge that goes into tactics more deeply than whatever they include in the main game.
Thank you all! I was at the first boss and I'm like I know I saw ducking and stationary jumping in the videos. Defintely a great game but those are some must have skills to progress and should have been in the tutorial.
Eh, I feel like it's going to be a skill you use a couple times then throw away because its so clunky. Once you duck/jump he stops blocking and you have to repress it to do another duck/jump.
It teaches you that later in the game, right before the 2nd boss. You fight a wall-e or repair bot and on the crate it says to block and flick to duck/jump. Attack directly after for a counter attack. This is where I learned how OP blocking was in this game. Block the attack, hit immediately, double damage.
