Looks like I'll be getting the PS4 Pro version, at least it'll be in 60 FPS.
first and foremost, HDR is a stupid marketing term which only serves to confuse people.
If you wanna know if the game will support 10 bit monitor then more than likely it won't matter if the game itself says it supports it or not because either way its gonna render.
If you're using a TV then I guess I can't help you there
I wasn't here for this but since the ignorance regarding HDR is so profound I gotta. Let me make this clear, HDR isn't just about 10 bits color. Thats just part of it. It's also about how bright and how many "nits" your screen and display in a scene and the contrast between bright and dark scenes.
Imagine a video of a torch in the darkness. In every case every you're just watching a bright scene or a dark scene. With HDR the torch itself will be so bright that it'll radiate light into the your living space against an inky black background. The result is the most realistic representation of fire you ever seen in your life because the "fire" is actually emitting light like a real fire would. Does that make sense? I can play games with 12 bit colors support on a 12 bit monitor and it'll still wont be able to replicate this effect.
In games like Mass Effect Andromeda and The Surge where there's glowing light source everywhere HDR is huge. Once you seen it, you'll want it too.
Lot of old games had an option to switch between 16-bit and 32-bit colors.
HDR and PS4 Pro support will follow by a patch.
This is huge if true. But I doubt it.
Sign, sadly :(
Does anyone know if the game will support HDR on PC?
save the 20 bucks and get it here
I have HDR as well and while it CAN BE very nice im not spending an extra 20 bucks on an inferior version in the hope that it comes at some point
