Area 4 Shortcuts?

I know there's one, but I've been searching for quite some time and I can't find any more than 1 (The lift right next to Operations at the Research & Development facility). I don't feel it's appropriate to carefully trek through this area for about 45 minutes to an hour and lose 30,000 scrap because there is no way back and there are no shortcuts to get back.

Going back isn't an option more often then not because you have to drop down to another area which prevents you from taking the same path back. Even if I could go back to deposit scrap, I would make no progress in the area since everythnig relaods when you do so.

Where on earth are those shortcuts? I'm sure there's more than 1. If there isn't, I just reached the end of how far my skills will allow me to progress.

It's better to be safe and go back to OPs.

well the exolift next to OPS is kinda the first one.

( kinda: there is a mini-shortcut in the very first lab, leading to the flamethrower drone as well )

but the 2nd isnt that far either, once you reach a room with red carpet n vitrines. there is a drone locked door to the right ( progression road ), but if you follow the path to the left youll reach a door back to OPS.

3rd short cut is kinda one directional.
when you re above the OPS, there are pipes to the right leadung down, but not up again

4th n last shotcut
is in a grey hallway with 2 flamethrower guys with shielddrones, the door to the left is OPS

I completely agree up to a point. When you're healing resources are exhausted and you're carrying a lot of scrap, and you're too far away to get there in 2 and a half minutes, it might be worth it.

Thank you soo much for that info. I'll start up the game again and see if I can find those. The one direction shortcut is interesting. Should have fun finding that one.
