Like every enemy - dodge their attacks, then attack. They make a loud noise when they're about to jump you. Dodge, hit a couple of times go away. Repeat. You can also use singular lunge attacks (dodge forward while attacking, then dodge back) repeat. They're only hard if you get up in a corner.
Damn I never thought of trying the Spectre, just the P.A.X. Imperator, MG Negotionator, or Spitfire Rod I'll have to give it a try though it needs upgrading to level 3 as I haven't been using it, nice tip there thx.
Just to be clear, I'm only talking about the basic models here (the ones in the Biolab) vs a Mk. II Volatile Spectre, the ones that show up later in the game might have a hair of life left after 2 block-then-vertical-counter hits of a Mk. III Volatile Spectre, depending on your Single-Rigged proficiency. It still does more damage than other weapons at similar rank though
Its also harder to block the attacks of these later models if you haven't boosted your stamina, and they tend to stay away from you more so the method in the video doesn't work nearly as well. It helps to throw in a basic attack during that long pause they have between each tail attack when they are close in order to kill them a bit faster than waiting purely for the block-and-vertical-counter.
