And I am allways going for 1 leg. Waiting for them to jump, dodge it, and then slideattack 2 or 3 times.
Not to mention if I am trying to fight a normal guy those spiders have such a long range they just jump in a one hit me.
Successfully timed hits also stagger them, usually 2nd or 3rd hit. When you find their rhythm you will be juggling them, but yeah before learning their moves they are among the toughest enemies

The trick is to use a Volatile Spectre with its insanely-high Elemental damage that these are weak to (even if you don't normally use Single-Rigged weapons this thing seems tailor-made to kill these bots so set it as a Favorite to swap to it quickly), get close, block and counter. Dodge or jump (Block+Up on Right Stick) the leaping attack if it gets far away, but all other its melee-range attacks can be blocked.
After showing how quickly a Volatile Spectre kills one of these, the rest of the video is demonstrating how easy it is to just block every attack if you stay close to it.
I learned this tentacle goat on 2-rigged weapons, cause those leave less downime to miss block and dont waste all stamina quick.
I never need more than 2 hits to kill them, let alone 3, and timing doesn't even need to be that great. Check the video I posted earlier in this thread for how to kill them in 2 hits using a Volatile Spectre.
You can jump up (block + up) to avoid taking damage from their leap attack.
One easy way to get free hits in is to make them charge into a wall and dodge to the side. That puts them within reach of you immediately after dodging, so you have extra time to wail on them.
