Jesus, he/she did say they went BACK to a medbay to try to talk to her BEFORE doing the overcharge.
It would have been a nice little touch if you could get some more dialogue out of her after finding out the truth.
Mallory is the gal, Hobbes talks about if you visit him in the MedBay after progressing through the story further.
Why does Warren still happily go along with her plans after learning all this? There should've been a branching path here in the story: she pleads her case and you either agree to keep helping her, or refuse and she grows mad at you (like with Mallory) which could perhaps leading to her inhabiting the body of a robot or something as an optional boss fight!
