The difficulty is just obnoxious, not rewarding
I'm an avid fan of Dark Souls series, and I was somewhat excited with this game. But while the Dark Souls difficulty feels "fair" and very rewarding, The Surge difficulty feels completely unfair and tedious. Why? Because it's just unfair to see your HP dropping below 30% with a single attack from a regular enemy. Most of enemy attacks will consume more than 50% of your health, so you are forced to keep your HP above 50% in order to survive.

It doesn't feels good to kill the same 7-8 enemies, and getting oneshotted by the 9th. It doesn't feels right.

learn the mechanics of the game. you simply do not tank in this game.

You are wearing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exosuit. You aren't supposed to die from 1 hit. It's just boring to walking around the map like a thin glass which can be broken with a mere breeze. Every enemy encounter is like a miniboss fight.

Biggest difference between this game and Dark Souls is shields. In Dark Souls, you can hide behind as hield while learning an enemy's animations, or waiting to bait an attack. On The Surge, you can't even move while blocking, and it drains your stamina, and it doesn't work on the kinds of attacks you want to block anyways.

I love Dark Souls, but I always get bored with them before I can even finish them. I've beat DS2, and played all three. Don't have any DLC for any of them though. Still, I'm up to NG+ Nucleus on this game because the difficulty just feels RIGHT to me.

Yes, enemies hit hard, but you know what? They are SLOW and PREDICTABLE. Not to mention highly inaccurate (except when their animation swivels mid animation, like the spiderbot leap and most overhead swings). I've been in a fight with enemies and had an enemy come flying into view from off cam, missing by a MILE (like 3 character widths) with a lunge attack.

Hilarious to take out a group of 4 drones 2 Security guys and a spiderbot at once outside the Boardroom because none of them can coordinate their atatcks. You try that ♥♥♥♥ in Dark Souls and one will backstab you.

Except that you're being hit by weapons swung by other people also in exosuits.

As I said, get better Armour and more Health implants. You can use multiple of the same Implant.

You should play this game more like bloodborne, not dark souls. Always in movement, dodging everything. It is easier than you think. And if you still feel that game is too hard for you, start from the beginning and farm first area, since you can easly roll tech counter to 3.0x

Yeah except that you're being hit by weapons swung by other people insimilar exosuits.

As I said, git gud scrub.

It is you, not the game.
Well, when other difficult game like Dark Souls feels right to me and this game feels extremely unfair, maybe it's not me. And I'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks this, moron.

To be honest with you, those spiderbots are actually quite hard enemies until you destroy one of their legs. I consider them as the hardest ones, since after you learn how to deal with those, you can deal with any enemy.

You're the only one who is being an obnoxious c*nt about it.

Git. Fukken. Gud.

As I've said three times by now: get more Health implants if you are being one-shot.

It is not rocket surgery.

dark souls is pretty easy though.
and at the same time, the surge is somewhat easy to on the same basis.
learn the mechanics and master the game.
the mechanics are not the same, so do not treat it as the same

Yes, because you are so constructive being unpolite and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

That's funny because I feel that the difficulty in this game is spot on and I haven't had that issue. Meanwhile in Dark Souls games I had exactly that issue. One or two shotted by enemies unless I played some boring "meta" build.

So you say we are forced to find +health implants and stack them in order to turn this game a bit more fair. Nice job ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
