I highly doubt. anything that is not passive will works separately, so I bet that the only difference would be cooldown based (if the game doesn't take it into account).
Yes and no. Any passive will stack regarless of version equiped, but injectable buffs or healing needs to be the same version to stack. Otherwise they act as different items you can switch to.
Like two medi-voltaics of the same version. You can equip more than one. Only one shows up when cycling through, but so far as I can tell there is no change in effect and you're just wasting implant slots.
I don't know about early versions, but I have two v5 implants and I definelty notice a difference between one and two equipped.
The only thing that gets increased is the heal, at least for the volt one. The other heals mearly gives you more heals without having to switch between a lot of items with the d-pad (since I use a controller, except for one specific jump).
