Timing is everything.

You MUST poke, back off, hit 2-3 times for stun lock if you get it, then back out, make sure to keep stamina up for at least one dodge, to dodge back out of their range.

I use twin rigger firefly weapons with Gorgon armour , becouse gorgon armor provides a HUGE stamina regen bonus that allows me to move with great speed , and not worry about stamina

Im kind of confused on the concept of upgrades. So, Lets say i wanna upgrade my check piece. Do i just work in cutting off the torso of whoever i fight to gather the parts to upgrade?

Nah , you just need scrap and corresponding amount of the upgrade materials mark 2. Also upgrading existing armour is cheaper then crafting a new mk 3 or 4 armour from scratch

I didn't know you COULD craft a mark 3 or 4 armor piece with a blueprint. I've been crafting Mk1 and upgrading.

I run firefly. Currently a mix and match set of pieces that benefit my playstyle. lynx helm/chest, scarab arms and legs. Going to try swapping to all gorgon once I finish farming tech scrap via this multiplier I am building up.

Any 'Heavy-duty' weapon with 'Very High' impact, plus the rhino set because each arm buffs impact by 30%. It means that a huge percentage of your hits will cause stagger. Run in with a dash attack, usually they're staggered immediately and the followup combo will end the threat before they have the opportunity to retaliate.

Generally a bad idea to mix gear sets, go all or nothing with them. MG Gorgon is pretty much the best set for playthrough 1.

The full LYNX set gives you a huge attack speed increase when at around >70% health, i believe. You can pair that with the twin rigged or light weapons to pull of a flurry of blows, which can guarantee a stagger or two. I personally use the LYNX with the staff so I can slap fools rapidly from a distance and close in with crowd-control swipes.

Anyone know how many armor sets they've ran into in the game yet?

Dang, You sure mix and matching armor sets wont have any advantages? I know you get a buff with a full set on.

always the newest i find,

why? because it look cool!
Mandore May 17, 2017 @ 2:21pm
i went with full LYNX plus the first boss weapon. the attack speed boost makes up for the low attack speed of the weapon.

it has high damage and good scaling. the rest of the bossed i had to swich to a faster attack weapon, but its great on all kinds of trash mobs (except the welder bots)

Cerberus MG + the claws you get from last boss. I'm breezing through NG+ atm
~200 dmg / 150 armor

most of my boss kills so far have been with a one-handed weapon.

specifically the astrix saw. I tried the ax for a bit but it just didn't have the oomph.

Gorgon set for stamina boost.

I use the Centurian and Legionaaire for weapons. This is mostly personal preference, I feel comfortable using them.
