What's the Difference?
So I've spent several hours playing this game on Kongregate and it was definitely good fun. But why am I going to spend money to buy a game that I could play for free on Kongregate? What are some new features like characters and areas?

Edit: This topic's getting a lot of interest, so I wrote it up in more detail on my blog[wootfu.com]. I hope that helps! :) Original post below.

Hey BEEF LUMPS! If you're happy with it on Kongregate, that may be the best choice for you :D No, there aren't any exclusive characters or areas; instead it's balanced roughly as if you'd spent the same amount of money on Morale in the F2P version, so there's more stuff unlocked to start with and stuff unlocks faster.

Here's the full list of differences between the versions:

ON KONGREGATE:
  • Free-to-play
  • Start with just the Fighter unlocked
  • Unlock classes, perks and gear by earning Morale or buying it with In-App Purchases
  • Continues cost Morale, and successive continues get more expensive

ON STEAM:
  • Costs money up front
  • Start with three classes unlocked straight away - the Fighter, Wizard and Thief
  • Unlock classes, perks and gear by completing achievements, or unlock everything straight away in the menu with an Unlock cheat
  • Continues are unlimited, or play in Hardcore Mode with no continues at all
  • Play full screen with no ads

I hope that clears things up. :D

The Android and iOS versions are similar to the Kongregate version: Free-to-play with in-app purchases. :)

This thread may have driven me away from what was a sure purchase.

Why though? They are appealing to all sorts of markets. Mobile/Kongregate games are usually IAP riddled as well as F2P. However on steam they are making the necessary changes to make sure they aren't hated by everyone who would play this game.
where did you get 15 dollars from? your ass?

I'm still willing to get it here on Steam, I love earning achievements and don't like the ads/ect. free versions have to deal with but the price is a bit steep (imho) for something sold for free elsewhere with no exclusives in the paid version. I'll wait on more of a sale, but I did like the looks of it, will be on my wishlist. Thank you for the clarification. :halberd:
