Updated 12/22/2015
Current Version: V1.1.8.0

Up to current with reported errors. The current priority is to fix any remaining gameplay-affecting issues. Updates to add new aspect ratios are still pending. It looks like there's still some micro-stuttering, so I'll see if we can work on it.

Known Errors:

Microstuttering on some stages.
Mushihimesama V1.1.6.1 should reduce or eliminate this issue.

Fullscreen is not working as well as it could be. There are issues with poor scaling and letterboxing.
Some of these errors have been fixed on the most recent version. Please report any remaining issues with full screen that you have.

The leaderboards sometimes display scores incorrectly.
This error should be corrected in V1.1.8.0. Please let us know if you see any other incorrect sorting.

Accessing the leaderboards can cause persistent slowdown for some users.
Restarting the game will correct this until a permanent fix is added.

Reported graphical errors:
Missing backgrounds/hall of mirrors in menu.
Missing backgrounds/hall of mirrors in Stage 1.

I just tried Big Picture.
My gamepad is reknown, it does work to navigate within the Steam interface, however in Mushihimesama it simply does not work.
Hmm, ok we are going to look into this and I will get back to you about whether we can reproduce it.

Ok, we tested this in-house today. I played both in and out of Big Picture mode with no issues in-game. In the controller settings, I had Xbox Controller configuration support enabled, so I even tried to disable that, and it still worked flawlessly. If you haven't tried yet, you may want to update your device drivers. Otherwise, any other information you can provide would be helpful, as we have thus far been unable to even reproduce this.

Disable the controller support completely and then try. Turning it on breaks most of the games that use a pad that I own with it turned on, try enter the gungeon for example, this is the only game that needs it.

Yes, I mentioned above that we did indeed try that and it worked with no issues. Since two of you have mentioned this however, we can conclude that an issue exists. We have thus far been unable to reproduce it using the information that you have provided. Assuming that you have made sure your device drivers are updated, I would try to completely uninstall the device from your system, included any XBOX 360 Accessories applications if applicable. From there, reinstall manually. If you have any other information that may help please let us know while we continue to try to figure it out.

I use W10 drivers for my Hori Ex2, a standard X360 gamepad.
The gamepad works without any problem with my Steam library, except some games due to recent updates that broke the gamepad compatibility for a lot of people (like Downwell for example), so if my gamepad works fine with most of my games, I won't uninstal W10 drivers and have the risk the gamepad does not work anymore.

I am still having the same issues as I have had back in November 2016. The game refuses to output video once I try to switch from full screen to windowed mode and I have to go into Task Manager to force shut the game and then restart it again. I figured after 6 months, this issue would have been resolved. It has not and I'm deeply disappointed considering this is one of the few games I'm willing to put up with Steam's DRM bullsh*t to play.

I am STILL having this issue. Even though my equipment is different from last year, I still have to literally force close the game through task manager or Alt+F4 for the game to properly display. I don't know if it's because I'm running a dual monitor setup with the primary being 1920x1080 144Hz and the secondary being 1080x1920 at 75Hz or if the game just does NOT like W10 Enterprise. Why is no one at Degica even acknowledging I exist here? This is a serious problem and I want to know why it has not been fixed. This problem (along with despising Steam and DRM'd games) makes me enjoy the game so little that I barely even touch it.

When it's a less of a pain in the ass for me to drag out my PS2 and play my JP copy on it, or my 360 for DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu than it is for me to try and run the same (better versions, though) on Steam, this is a problem.

I just want to know if this is a problem that can be fixed or not. I can at least use my Playstation 2 controller in Mushihimesama, so that is a plus, at least, when that wasn't the case a year ago.

Edit: Oh, also, whenever you Alt+Tab out of the game when in full screen, it crashes. Are you guys serious? This isn't 2003. *facepalm*

Local Highscore save
I still can't save local Highscores. This problem has been discussed long ago, but for me it stilll doesn't work. Any Ideas to fix it? They just save temporaly until I restart the gamemode.

High scores don't save on the in-game high score display, but it does save on the high score list that appears before you press start. This is because the in-game high score display uses the "Today's High Scores" table that appears if you press the bomb button on the normal high score list, which only saves your current session. If the normal high score list is not saving your scores at all, then that is a problem.

Interesting. Tanks, have to check that

Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread, but is there a reliable fix for the replay desync issue? I have vysnc off by default, but have also tried having it on, and the results are roughly the same - the replay will always desync at a random point, usually early in the run. Other people's replays downloaded from the leaderboards seem fine, however.

Edit: one run I captured worked well, eventually. Is it possible the desync is caused by pausing the game?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB
Windows 10 home 64 bit.

I tried to set full screen on a 1440p monitor, and the whole computer became very slow; I had to force shut it down. Seems to run ok in a window.

EDIT: Um, I was setting something, accidentally hit fullscreen and now it's fine. No idea what happened, but it seems fine now.

Hello!

The "Arrange Master" achievement was not awarded after fulfilling the requirements. I played Arrange mode via "Score Attack" and completed the game including its last boss without using continues. Ranking shows "All", replay was saved, and so on. However, the achievement "Arrange Master" was never awarded. Is this a bug or can somebody please explain it as otherwise?

Thank you for your time.

Crashes when I check friend leaderboards.

This was a problem that was never fixed, even though it was initially reported (and acknowledged by the developers) years ago. It happens to users with lots of people on their Steam friends lists. Cave's other Steam games - Deathsmiles and Dodonpachi - are not affected by this bug.

They originally said they would at least issue a workaround so we could view the leaderboards in the Steam community hub, but that fix was never done either.

Ah thanks for verifying. I kept thinking it was just me.
