Parasite Eve trilogy for Steam

I think this needs to happen. Parasite Eve is a fantastic series that needs to make a return to proper form. Perhaps even a new, proper sequel. The 3rd Birthday was a decent action game, but it really had nothing to do with the established plot and characters of Parasite Eve. Let's get the PE games on Steam and show there's still a market for this series. And maybe, just maybe, we'll get a proper Parasite Eve 3.

The 3rd Birthday wasn't a bad game. It just wasn't a Parasite Eve game. And it does make sense if you beat the game a time or two. Once you find out the truth of what's actually going on, it starts to make sense why, say, Aya is so different in the game than she was in PE 1 and 2.

PE1 is $1.50 on the sony store right now so if you got a ps3, psp, or psvita GRAB IT it is amazing.

Coincidentally, these last days I was wondering myself if Parasite Eve would come to Steam by some chance (miracle), since Square is sharing it's titles with others platforms and Parasite Eve is entirely owned by them.

Surely, I would like very much to have the first two titles on Steam since I played it so much on my Ps1 epoch which unforgetable. Does not even need to be a remake; just port the Ps1 versions (preferable with achievement system) and i would be satisfied enough to buy.

"Hope is the last to die" as they say around here, so i'm hoping that Square may bring the series to Steam.

The first Parasite Eve had more RPG elements than it's sequel Parasite Eve II in my opinion.

First Game:

-"Almost" Random Battles. The Screen flashes white when you reach certain specific spots of the map which triggers the battles and spawn enemies.
-You could farm exp before going to the objective if needed since your "MP" regenerates over time in battle(to heal yourself), however you might have problems to deal with sufficient ammo(personally, never had to use the Baton).
-Level Up System with "atributes" to upgrade. The Skills(PEs) are automatically gained as you level.
-Ability to customize your weapons and armor with bonuses and boosts.
-As far as I remember, the camera positioning never was an problematic issue.

The second game however had elements more suited to a "Survival" game

-No Random Battles. You actually see the enemies on the field in and out of battles.
-The battles are fought only once per map segment until further progression of the plot, but you can track where are enemies before progression to ensure maximum exp gain.
-No Level Up System and the exp gained is used to manually select an PE that you wish to unlock or upgrade, making the game have an strategic approach since some PEs will make things harder or easier earlier on the game.
-No more MP Regen, making the battles more skill depending. As an compensation, there are boxes of infinite ammo on certain spots to replenish yourself; quite the opposite of the first game.
-Can only customize one weapon (M4A1 if I recall correctly), an Assault Rifle with addons like a Granade Launcher, a Laser Beam, a Flamethrower and others.
-The camera positioning in combat can be annoying sometimes.

Would absolutely love to have the Trilogy legally on pc, still have my original ps1 copy of PE1 but still.. I want em on steam with achievements xD

Agreed, just need to get through Square though of course (the original name of the company of course :) ), otherwise it's a deadend. I LOVED PE1 since my childhood after all. :D Even have the original PE1/2 discs after all. ^^

Trilogy? Hell no, the third game was an abomination and should never be mentioned.

First two games are super amazing though so I wouldn't mind seeing them released for the PC even though I'd rather see a brand new Parasite eve game

YES. This NEEDS to happen. Parasite Eve is my most favorite game of all time, and I would jizz myself in pure happy bliss if it gets a Steam port. Same with PE2, though ♥♥♥♥ 3rd Birthday.
