Ff7 on ps4 had some, I would assume similar things to that. Turning off random encounters, speed up battles, etc.

HP, MP are givens. Speed increase toggle I suppose the high speed means. To speed up battles.

No encounter mode will be a Godsend.

So much this specially that I don't remember any "encounter-non" item on FF9

I hate the fact there will be cheats for noobs, changing speed and no encounter is great though.

I'm hoping that the high speed boost also affects cutscenes, and ban be toggled at any time. Would definitely be great for dealing with pre-boss battle cutscenes when you're trying for the difficult steal.

The "boosters" available are always full ATB/Trance/HP/MP, 9999 damage, no random encounters, Master abilities (equipping an item automatically unlocks its abilities permanently), and characters' levels and Magic Stones and the party's gil can be maxed out

how do you get the boosters? the only things i see on the steam version are the gold/max lv/auto learn abilities. I don't see the no encounters, nor any of the others.....

There's a guide in the Guides tab that fully explains the boosters. It's not a long read.

ah, i see, some of the boosters have to be pressed with the keyboard rather than in a menu or with a controller (at least the r trigger doesn't work for no encounters as you use that for the camera). Thanks for the help.

EDIT: ok, figured out if you press start then the RT works for the controller. lol

Grow up, Thats not what he's saying. Infinite Gil, full HP/MP, instant 9999 damage... Yeah, you're not even playing the game. I like the battle speed and no encounters feature for the sake of convenience, but the other "boosters" take away ALL the challenge and fun out of the gameplay. If you enjoy playing like that then more power to you... but IMO, You might as well read a good book or watch a movie.

"Grow up" you say, because I don't think other people using cheats is a bad thing? It's hilarious to me that you defend the cheats *you* like, but the others are for "noobs". One could easily make the argument that the battles induce an attrition that *actually* adds to the difficulty and you're the "noob" for using it, no?
Or maybe you can just not judge people for using cheats *the devs put in* when they may need or want them?
Really, not everyone plays video games like you, stop trying to gate off the experience to others.

I believe there was a no encounter ability learned from an item that you could only obtain at the secret secret synthesis shop. Pretty sure it was a Zidane only. I also think there was a half encounter....

i would jsut like to point out that by definition what you are calling " cheats " arent cheatsm cheating is acting unfairly to gain an advantage, like breaking the rules of a game, or in the case of a vifeo game, hacking it using codes
but in this case the developers have put these options into the game, as options,
options everyone has access to,
oh and yoru comment baout syaing having the hp/mp 9999 damage etc on isnt really playing the game but saying no encounters and battle speed is convenience, i would argue that by removing encounters and speeding up the battles that you're not really playing the game either
