Buy for IOS or PC?
I was thinking of buying the IOS version for my iPhone because it allows for mobility (I live in NY and I spend 2 1/2 hours on the subway every day commuting to and from work). It will make the commute so much less painful and I wouldn't have to wait until I'm home to play. I also travel a lot and thought it would make traveling feel quick. I can easily spend 4-6 hours on a plane if I have FFIX to fall back on.

But I like the idea of playing on my computer screen and keeping all my major titles on one platform (steam). I mainly use my phone to play simple touch screen games. I'm sure the game will look better on PC and will feel better playing with a controller. I lose the mobility but by doing so I gain the comfort of a bigger screen and controller.

I can't decide... what do you think? Should I go PC or IOS on this one? And why?

Search it in ebay and buy the original game from psone. Play it on psone.

There's nothing like playing on the console , no cheating or anything to spoil the game.

Its a tricky one, but this is an RPG, lots and lots of text and wonderful music, but then again, it is nice to have somthing to fall back on on those long plane rides.. IMO phones are for simple pokemon shuffle type games, and rpg's and alike are for when you are relaxed, at home and are able to imerse yourself in a game.

Get both would be the simple solution. Otherwise if you can only choose one, I'll say wait for the PC version. If you really wanted the iOS version I'm sure you would have already bought it last week. Anyways in my opinion phones are more suited for short and high replayability games, so it's better to get a game like FFIX on the PC and play it more comfortably on the bigger screen.

I looked at the updated screenshots on the store page......I have to say the textures for the backgrounds don't look any more polished than the mobile release. Sure the cinematics and sound may look/sound a bit better, but I am not sure by exactly how much it matters. I am playing on android and its a fantastic port and plays well on mobile. I think the smaller screen does the backgrounds justice (playing on 10.4" Galaxy Tab S2).

Plus, with it being on mobile you can play on the crapper and in bed....so there's that.

Get a laptop and wait for the PC version. Don't support mobile!

Your suggesting makes no sense at all. If you are going to cheat in a single player game it doesnt matter what platform you are going to be using its single player its up to the person playing it not what the other guy is doing. The game is over 10 years old odds are he knows what happens in the game and spoilers isn't a problem unless you are looking for it.

I would buy it for pc due to the space requirement to install it on mobile. 8gigs to unpack 4 gigs post install.

Bought a usb to micro otg cable for my phone last year (newegg for 1$). I just plug in an old Xbox controller and it works perfectly! Controller is bigger than my phone, but it makes gaming on the go more fun. Looks a bit ridiculous and I'm constantly blowing the pockets out of my pants... On the pluss side, it almost looks like I'm packing some serious heat. Works well enough that a hand full of my friends have done the same now. You could always download an emulator and try it before committing, too. I checked and it is easily available. Also, you have a PSP? If not, it is a cheap option. I own ff9 through psn and it plays great. Personally, I'm waiting for the steam version just to get the trading cards... Woot!

If they invent a cloud saving link feature, then both would be a valid choice. Don't know how that would work, nor the complications behind it though.

lmao i could imagine you playing it while on a subway train then you miss the train or the stop because of it. But honestly it would be worth it cause then you would get more game time

Well I would have potential for that, because I tend to zone into my games. One of the reasons I don't do TOO much on my phone.

How much it will cost?
