Excalibur 2
So who is actually going to attempt this run now that its been made easy... or are you going the legit way with out using any boosters which it is possible to do just hard :P

I never attempted it my self in all honesty out of the bagillion times i played this game...

I HAVE to try it now. Maybe even try to 100% it.

I'm down for an E2PG run but maybe on the next playthrough only. Legit way or not, I'm not sure yet. Perhaps the no encounters booster only if i get too frustrated.

I will try to get it with the no encounter booster and do a perfect game after I finish the game for the first time on the pc and get everything else.

I got the Excalibur II through using an emulator where i had zero time.
Absolutely have no desire to do this quest otherwise, that and Roping Jumping was one of the worst parts of FFIX.
Other than that it barely has weaknesses and rope jumping who cares.
Its just this OP sword :/

I'll probably have a 2nd playthrough aimed at getting it. I'll be enjoying the story again the first time round.

E2 isn't hard to get. I can link you reference notes that you can use to get the excalibur 2 easily in a single session.

That being said, the boosters don't take anything away except for elitist notions in people's minds, which likely have no business being there in the first place.

I've done FFIX 100% proper on console for what it's worth.

Nice, its just the effort to get the Excalibur which means you're not enjoying the story, while racing against time, is what i think is way too tedious. But awesome that you enjoyed it man

Nope, not in hell I'm doing that. I'm bad with rushing stuff, this thing is simply unreal for me.

Once you've read the dialogue enough times, you just know what's going on ;) it's more fun to just play the game at that point, for me at least

FFIX's story is wonderful though, and for the ATE achievment, I'll likely do a separate file to watch through them all again.

Probably not me, I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about excalibur, steiner even less.

It's for completionists and speedrunners only really; Ragnarok is Steiner's easiest source of 9999 (shock)

Well yes, but do you achieve perfect walkthrough that way ?
And why not use an emu, disable time and enjoy the full perfect game ?
Rather than rush it, miss out on items and WOOPS missed something!
WOOPS missed the timer.

So stressing lol

No Steiner does 9999 with Shock regardless
