Let's talk mods

What mods is everyone hoping for? I think we all know the most obvious one would be to make Beatrix/Blank/Tantalus all permanent party members. Another obvious one is being able to change the overworld character by changing party leader. But let's try to get creative.

I would want a mod that basically unlocks all the areas that are inaccessible during the disc 4 section of the game. I always assumed those areas were locked out to save on disc space so all the FMVs could fit on the last disc, but I can't prove it. I just don't like it when you can't go back to random places (even though those places are kind of useless, to be honest).

Another useful idea would be to have a missable items vendor in a secret place that sells all possible missable non-key items at high prices. It would make me far more inclined to do Excalibur II speedruns knowing I don't have to worry about missing out on items forever. Also, give Steiner the ability to equip Save the Queen, just because.

While the soundtrack is superb, it would be kind of nice if we could get a mod to change around the music tracks. This seems like the most realistic idea, especially if the music is all just a bunch of files that can be replaced as long as the new music is the same name and filetype. I'd HAVE to play with the OC Remix sountrack modded in.

A mod that makes "Millenial Decay" Fenrir's default attack (it's so much cooler than Trerrestrial Rage) and "Emerald Light" Carbuncle's default spell (Haste on the whole part trumps "Reflect" any day, who ever uses reflect?)

Allowed or not, it'll happen. There won't be VAC bans or anything, it's not like it uses servers. Even the XIII games and Type-0 have mods.

high-res backgrounds, IF squeenix will be too lazy and cheap to actually implement those on their own accord. otherwise i love this game as it is.

+1 for the unlocking all the places after the end of disc 3.

I would like also to change the worldmap music of disc 4 (sad, due to the mist covering all the lands) to the default one (over those hills). This should be really easy.

I used reflect all the time, Vivi yo. Gets x2 damage off a reflect bounce, thanks to a support ability, and reflect-null lets Dagger heal through them.

Not all of us are talented or have the right mindset for it. I got MORE than my fill of even trying that ♥♥♥♥ when I tried making Warcraft III maps.

Reflect is awesome when you have the abilities to make use of it. Haste is garbage in this game, unless you are doing a OCC, or leveling with one character.
