is the friendly monster quest bugged?

I've done them all up to friendly feather circle and up till now they've popped in up to 1-5 encounters but this one, well let me put it this way, i've maxed 3 100AP costing abilities in from the encounters so far and not a single friendly encounter.

I'm on hour 4 now and my characters have gone from 40 to nearly 70...WHERE THE HELL IS THIS FRIENDLY FEATHER CIRCLE?!

Friendly feather circle is at the lost continent(the one thats sort of like a snowy place.)

Run back and forth over the chocobo tracks near Esto Gaza. And remember that the final friendly will not be clearable without having done all of the others first. They can be in any order, but they have to all be done to clear the Yan.
