i've stole the chain plate and phoenix down, for more chances to steal have vivi cast slow on her.

The Mythril Sword (and later, Ice Brand) that you steal from her is rated at 1/256 chance steal.

Not worth the effort. At all.

Very true considering that you can buy them pretty quickly afterwards, but since you can't really beat her in combat and after a certain amount of turns she'll do stock break, it's fun to try lol.

Slow is the only way to go to get the chance to take it from her, try and reload. It's a timed battle, you can't win.

It's always been hard to steal from her. Damn near impossible in every version. But you can buy the swords in Cleyra anyway so you're missing nothing.

Havent tried it myself, but people are reporting the 9999 damage booster also gives 100% steal rate

Most "rare" items in this game is near impossible to steal. Either you get lucky or you sit there for 20-40 turns trying to get one item that you usually can either a) buy later or b) synthesize at shops. Also recommend buying at least 2 of each weapon (sometimes even more) so you don't get screwed in later parts of the game because they locked you out for story purposes (looking at you Zorlin dagger and the damn masamune synthesize).

Use Bandit with Zidane for a better chance of stealing items (Mythril Dagger), Reis Wind with Freya, Slow with Vivi, and Mighty Guard with Quina to give you more time to steal ♥♥♥♥ if you want it.

As far as I know there is no Hack.

And if you are looking to steal stuff late game you need the Thief's gloves for Master Thief. You can synthesise them or win them I think in Treno, but they cost a lot of gil.

synthetising them is more expensive (50k), you can get them at the auction for like 20k

However, buy steepled hats and wrists on mass, synthesise into cotton robes, and then sell, you can use this to make infinite money in the game. Can be done the moment you turn up at Lindblum.
