Let me know if this helps.
How strange i never encounter this on my F310 Logitech gamepad.
Really? never knew.
With the rumblepad 2, you can choose dinput or xinput with a switch on the back. I know it won't help with my ps4 controller, though. I hope I'm not sounding arrogant. Just trying to help. I just know the problem a lot of pc games have with dinput.
You should have the same switch on the back of your f310 btw. One side for x, the other side for d(directinput.) That's what logitech support shows.
Yeah true. Though I never ever touch DInput. I do use the mode button though for the dumb control setup on FF8.
Wish more games supported it without using inputmapper or the like, not that I have a problem with those, but cutting out the middle man would be nice.
But getting a new pad might be best for this situation. To avoid too many issues, I'd say a 360 controller, or the f310 or f710, as previously mentioned.
But doing this for one game? That depends how much you want to play this game, however having one of these gamepads might avoid other problems in the future. It doesn't help the plugin Silicon Valley used in this port is way outdated.
F310 is USB plug while the F710 is Wireless i think.
I don't think there is a program needed to be installed.
