Might be embedded in some of the Unity files located in FF9's data files.

I guess its 1 Slot for all the saves...They could at least seperate it.
Downside: You can't delete a single save, you'd have to delete the whole lot, or overwrite... Unless you figure out how to decrypt it. :P
Edit: I wish Steam's message boards updated before I comment. That's the third time a problem's been solved by the time I click Post. :V
Same as how Final Fantasy XIV Files are. All encrypted and cant be edited since they are all DAT., BK, INDEX and FIIN files. Even the music and video files are encrypted. Its no wonder there is no Private server.
