How do I activate the 3x speed booster?

Quick question. Are the boosters supposed to be displayed on the pause screen, or do you just need to know that F1 is the speed boost? I checked and dont see anything

What are the other booster quick keys? I think I will only be using the F1 booster, but I would rather not accidentally enable a random booster

F1-F7 are all boosters however from F5-F7 are permament but it usually ask you to comfirm in case you press it but if you do you gonna need to load different and older save slot.

F1-F4 are also on controller as well (LB,RB,LT,RT) and they activated while game paused I guess that's why you see them been displayed on pause screen this is also main reason most people activate one of boosters when they pause game.

Hi everyone. When I pause the game and press F1 I don't see any symbol or effects on the game. The only mod I have is Moguri mod for graphics. Maybe I need something different if I've installed that mod, but I don't know. Can you help me?

EDIT: if you have this problem, I've found the solution. Go in FF IX folder and edit Memoria.ini file. You'll find a line with [Cheats] and Enabled=0. Change it: Enabled=1 and save. It will enable F1 and other buttons for cheats.

That speed boost is ridiculous though, and rarely useful. I am trying a 2x speed mod now to see if that helps.

You're correct that it's not useful all that often, but when it is useful, it's very useful. Chocobo Hot & Cold, Excalibur II, etc.

it's actually the memoria mod, which the moguri mod is built on top of. So if you have any questions about how to take advantage of the memoria mod, go to the nexus memoria page. Just as an example, if you press shift-F4 (alt-F4 exits the game but they give you a warning first thankfully which you can cancel), you can get random battles every 3-4 steps. so it makes it easier to grind. then shift-F4 again to change it back to normal. and normals values can be changed in the ini. also in the ini you can change how many jumps you get per jump rope game, i set mine to 4, also how many frogs you get, I set mine to 2, this reduces the absurdity and grind if you're into that then don't touch it.
