You can get 100% Steal Rate anytime!

I dont like boosters but when the game is paused any time, pressing the L2 equivelant button toggles the 9999 damage booster, this also gives you a 100% steal rate, so if you hate having to try stealing a million times every boss fight you can just toggle that on until you steal everything and turn it off again.

Yup, doesn't seem to work. Kinda sucks too, since the steal rate is so awful most of the time. Even with bandit ability getting the good stuff can take forever. While I was planning on doing a no booster run, I wanted to try this, so I activated it in Dali where you fight the two ghosts after opening the door underground and I probably used steal over 50 times and I didn't get hi-potion or phoenix pinion from either ghost. Only the potion and ore. Eventually I just gave up.

Now for the hard stuff like Benero side side quests on disc 3 and 4, Ex2 and Rope Jumping i can understand.

FYI, this is bogus; the 9999 damage cheat does not make your steal goto 100%.

What we need is for someone to datamine the game and see ecactly which values are changed when activating the 9999 booster.

So this doesn't 100% work.

It gives you the Semi-Rare and lower steals 100% but I just tried repeatedly against Tantarian and despite having it on and trying different combinations, I could NOT get Demon's Mail from him whatsoever.

So take this post with a grain of salt.

Just nearing end game on my current playthrough, I can vouch as well, that this is not true. I have a few boss encounter with the booster (mainly just to steal before I turn off the booster) and most of the time, the steal rate is the same as not using the booster.
