Return Magic is OP as hell

Well, I never bothered to use it when I was younger and played this on the PS1. But using Amarant + Vivi and Shadow absorption equipment, made Ozma almost a joke.
Everytime Ozma used Doomsday, it took massive damage and healed my entire party, then Vivi and Amarant counter it by using Return magic and bam. 2 more Doomsdays in a row without wasting a single turn and without using MP. Damn.
I know this is old news for veterans, but for novices, it's an awesome setup in certain situations.

Yep, Amarant is generally underrated. My party usually ends up being Zidane, Quina, Amarant and Freya, though I might try to mix it up a bit for my PC playthrough by playing more Steiner and/or Vivi.

ikr and his trance is pretty op too, resurrect all party or give all party auto-life + regen

I've been curious to see what would happen with reflect on all characters, reflectx2 on whoever it's available to and have Vivi spam magic on all party members. Because generally in FF titles, reflect tends to ignore that a spell has been weakened by multi-cast and with the damage multiplier you could possibly hit 4x9999 with each of Vivi's turns if you used him. XD

I agree. Amarant is often sorely underrated by new players. As the name of his action ability set implies, he's the ultimate finesse character.

Setting auto-life on your characters? Replenishing your mages' MP? Turning magic back on your enemies? Yes, please!
