Desert Palace - Candle Bug?

Hello,

So here I am on Disk 3 where you regain control of your "second party" after the boss fight with Zidane against The Ark. It's the part with the candle puzzles where you must light all / a certain amount to proceed. Anyways, I'm at the part where you must use the candles to get the statues shadow to face left. Afterwards, a magic staircase appears where you must light one more candle upstairs to initiate a boss fight. Simple enough, right? Well for some strange reason, this 'last candle' refuses to be lit, and no action "!" or "?" will let me do so. Please look at the screenshot below to see where I am at.

Here is what I have currently tried with no results:

Reloaded an earlier save. Including redoing The Ark battle.
Reloaded a save where I did not start the statue puzzle yet. (Just outside the room, there is a Moogle.)
Restarted FF9 / Computer.
I have tried facing / walking every possible angle in this room.

Am I missing something? Another candle perhaps?
Maybe it's me just facing the wrong way?
I just hope this will not be a showstopper on the story for me.

Anyways, help would be much appreciated. Hopefully I am not the only one with this bizzare problem.

From the screenshot I guess you miss one of the candle that will make the left-side window glowing.

Edited: Or I'm wrong with this event? both left and right window should be glowing.

Checklist for you ( hope this helps ):

Upstairs check out the right gargoyle, then the left, and then the Goddess statue in the centre. Run to the right of the screen and a blue staircase should appear. Go up these stairs, light the lamp, then go back and left. Light all three lamps in this room to open the two doors, and go through the upper left to get to the other side and light the three lamps. The statues will disappear. You should now extinguish the top and lower right lamps.

The two doors to the north will open up now and the statues to the left will disappear. Go back and light the two lamps in the middle. The right statues will now go. Light the remaining lamps (the last one is two the south) and check the red light for the Bloodstone, an Anklet. Walk through the upper right doorway. Light the candle by the statue of the angel (background) to see another red glow. Inspect the bloodstone for Shield Amour then go left and up the stairs to the next screen. Ignite the candle atop the stairs and head into the Library.

There are three floors to the library, and you must explore them all. Light the left candle to use the ladder on the right to get to the third floor. Light the candle and go through the new door to examine the stone for an N-Kai Armlet, then return to the library and down the stairs to a ladder. This takes you to the second level where, by lighting the candle, you can leave through the door. Go left up the stairs and light the two candles on the way. Back inside the library light the candle to the right (on the first level, below candlestick) and another doorway opens. Light the candlwe through here, return to the library to find a Moogle (left) and SAVE at last!

Left to the next screen and light the candle right of the Gargoyle. Then go through the door and keep going to a painting with one candle and another Gargoyle with two. Light the pictures candle and read the inscription, then light the Gargoyle's right candle to reveal a staircase. For a Venetia Shield light the second candle by the Gargoyle, then put it out and repeat for the other one to get a Black Hood. Run up the stairs and attempt to light the last candle before you enter another Boss battle.

I figured that I missed a candle somewhere, it was the one upstairs that lights up the stained glass. Thanks for the assistance everyone, much appreciated!
