Can i powerup Dragon crest w/o freya in team?

Trying to level up @ Grand Dragon but I dont need freya in my team as she's max level.

No, you need Freya to defeat the dragon (or any dragon) to raise her Dragon's Crest.

Don't use grand dragon to level this skill, go to a beach and fight serpions, they are much easier.

Unless your farming for AP/EXP I'd suggest fighting the Serpions. "It can be found in the Lachenta Wetlands, King Ed Plains, Togull Beach, and Edgecry Coast on the Mist Continent."

Obviously eat one with Quina too, if you want Mighty Guard.

You don't need Freya in the party to get the kill counted either.

Nah, I dont need XP and AP. been farming Yan easily & most of my toons are max including Freya. Wanting to powerup Dragon crest without Freya so was thinking of going back to farm Dragons with low level toons.

So i tested, you do not need Freya in party at all.

Yeah, It's pretty funny when she's like level 15 doing 9999.

It's pretty nice because you can level up Thievery and Dragon's Crest on the same mobs with Mug, Bandit and Master Thief. You do end up with 99 Antidotes pretty damn fast though.

Honestly, grand dragons are still great for Exp/AP, but yeah, if you just want to buff Dragon Crest, 9999 damage is nothing to laugh at.

By the way this is written, I would surmise that it means Freya doesn't have to be in the party. It seems to just be a tally of dragons you (you as in the player) have killed during the course of the game. It would be kind of weird of the game tracked who was in the party for what kills.
