No disc swap
I have a bit of an nitpick with ff9 on pc
there no way of it telling you that you finished disc 1 and is on the 2nd disc.

it seems to be an odd thing to have a nitpick at and I understand those disc swap parts where there due to the limits of the ps1.

But the reason, why I really liked break up between discs is because it would let you just take in what just happened in the story and get you hyped for the next part. Made the game feel bigger & epic.

This is my first time playing ff9 and had no idea I was on the second disc till a friend pointed out for me, the last part I was at was the end of disc 1

They could have done like FFVII and FFVIII and added milestone achievements, but there's so many achievements already, and more creative than the other two, in some respects, so it's kind of forgivable, but they still could have should have done it.

There is also someting related that bothers me (a little) about that. They don't allow you to save either between discs. Yes the autosave function exists but sometimes yo have to load an earlier save and it's good to have as many as possible, especially between long scenes (a.k.a. between end of one disc and the start of the other).

I also have the same isssue, I don't really like the auto save and don't really use it. but yeah, would have been nice if the game did say you were on the second disk or something. the other issue is, I really want to stick on disk 3, so have to follow a guide in parts to make sure I don't go too far.

Otherwise, the game is good.

End of Disc One:

The FMV of Kuja flying away after Beatrix hands you your rear for the first time

End of Disc Two
The FMV of Garnet/Dagger standing in front of Queen Brahne's grave.

End of Disc Three:
When the party returns to Gaia aboard the Invincible and finds the entire world covered in Mist

For reference only. Having the entire game on a computer hard drive renders the disc swap issue moot.

THANK YOU
I'd played it 20 years ago on multiple discs, replaying on ps, and most guides refer to the different discs, but I had no way to reference when a disc had changed. But thanks to you, I now know.
