Mogmi isn't showing me a letter?

I'm in Gizamaluke's Grotto and rescued Mogmi and her husband. Mogmi is supposed to show me the letter about the Festival of the Hunt ("It was so exciting!"), but when I talk to her and pick "Mognet" she just says she wants mail, and there are no letters for me to read.

Is this going to mess up anything later, or can I just go on without seeing this letter? Like, I won't miss out on any items or achievements or anything, right?

Mognet is a sidequest and if you deliver all letters, you're rewarded with a Protect Ring, which you can synthetize or buy from Mene.
But yes there is an achievement "Back Online : Repair the machine at Mognet Central".

It shouldn't requires anything to obtain the letter, he should give the letter once you completed the Festival of the Hunt (the winner doesn't mind).

This is already after the Festival of the Hunt (you can't get to Gizamaluke beforehand). I cleared it and Freya was the winner. I talked to Mogmi and checked for mail the first time I entered the area (before her husband gives you the Holy Bell), and tried leaving and coming back after that and still no letter.

This letter isn't actually a delivery you make yourself, but rather one of the "for Zidane" letters, so do I need this for the Protect Ring? I'm following along with the 100% achievement guide as a 'checklist' to make sure I do everything, and it mentions the letter. I remember getting this letter in previous playthroughs on PS1 (this is my first time through PC version, but I've played at least 4 or 5 times on Playstation... it's also my first time using a guide as a checklist to try to see everything I can see, so I'm not sure what's important and what's not)

Had the same issue, but you won't loose anything by not reading it as far as i could see. So it doesn't matter much.

Just remembered that I couldn't get it even back to the PS1 days :(

Mogmi will also have a letter from Moodon if the player scored 100+ points during the Festival of the Hunt. This is from a walkthrough on gamefaqs.com
