Very little random battles?
Am I the only one who thinks this version "spawns" a lot less battles? I just went through the whole desert palace with no encounters. Having played both the original and psn classic version I don't remember there being so few battles. anyone noticed this?

I would like to mention that the first step I took after posting this got me into a battle

I've noticed that random encounters on the world map seem to be the same as they were or more frequent. But in any dungeon or fighting area, they seem almost non existent compared to the original.

Same here. When I enter in a new area, there is no fight for 2 minutes :) On the map, the fight number is normal.

This is my experience as well.

There's a bar under yout ATB gauge that fills up as you take damage, once it gets full, that character goes into trance.

is that bad thing? if you want grind .just run in circles on one place. it helps
however i also noticed low encounter rate as you describe

This version of the game is a perversion. Not ONE random encounter from the dead forest to dhali. And when I say not one random encounter, I do not mean I was merely zooming from A to Z. I ran around the areas over and over and over and nothing. What the ♥♥♥♥. This is about as bad as the issue I'm having with the water treatment plant supply puzzle from resident evil 0 not working as intended. It's almost as if it was altered this way on purpose.
It seems that this version has reduced random encounters only inside dungeons, on the world map I feel they are just like in the PS1 version.

Hi everyone :yay:,

In my opinion, i don't feel any difference between PS1 and PC version :steamhappy:, but It's been a long time since my last session on PS1.
However, if i turn on the no-encounter cheat (start button then Rt button), it's obvious that i don't get any battle ;).

Believe me, there's far less than the PS1 version. In dungeons, at least. World map encounter rate seems the same as PS1.
