Steam deck compatability
Hi,
so store page says FFIX is incompatible with steam deck, but often enough i've read that steam's compatability listings aren't necessarily up to date. So question is, is FFIX still incompatible, or are there patches/fixes? And if so, anyone know why it's incompatible?
Thx!

There's already a topic about this on this page.

The ever so helpful answer of "just google it" or in this case "there already is a thread" - obviously without ever answering the question... because that would make sense, right?
Seriously tho, the only threads I can find are from 18.June and before, but a lot can change new proton builds can shoot compatability or make it better and I don't know if they were on an old version, current version (back then) or experimental
EDIT: Also god forbid people ever ask question on, kinda, social platforms!

"Yes" or "No"...

That's apparently too little exposition for some people when faced with the opportunity to be intentionally obtuse.

Gotta love the internet.

The topic was (at the time) literally 7 posts below yours. And the most recent replies were from last month. But I suppose just reading the forum is too much hard work, right? I mean why bother doing that when you can just demand that people take the time to re-post information just for your benefit.

I was going to give you crap for this, but then I noticed that Mil already did it for me. I hope that whoever gave you the 'poetry' award was making fun of you -- unless you did it on your own, in which case... well, that insult writes itself.

I had issues loading it up at first but once I unticked "Enable the steam overlay in game" it booted.
Only found this out by chance, didn't see anyone mention this.

Guys, just be helpful, if there is already a topic or you know of any external sources just provide the link.:winter2019coolyul:

Check protondb.com to check compatibility outside Steam own verification system. It works flawlessly even with moguri mod.
EDIT: this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc7SpRNGE_I) video has everything you need to setup FF9
