As for more of those and the pieces, you just have to keep digging. Sometimes, you'll find several at ones and sometimes, you can look for hours and find none. And you can exchange points for items, like equipment or Tetra Master cards.
That's actually something rather spoilery. To put it in non-spoiler terms - that big cluster of ice bergs turns into what you saw in the vid (the three smaller ice bergs) in the very last part of the game. It's only accessible on what in the PS1 version would be on Disc 4. Basically, keep on playin', it'll probably be the last treasure you get as a result.
