Wrist (130gils/Dali) + Steepled Hat (260gills/Lindblum) + 1000 synth cost (lindblum) = 1390gils

These items makes cotton robes and they sell for 2000gils each, I bought 99x of each items which resulted me in 137610gils in total when bought all these. If you guys had saved up money from the start and did perfect score on the theater battle event, 10k gils btw, you'd have enough money for both materials. thanks to that I net myself a total profit of 60390gils.

Once you get airship making trips between dali/lindblum should pose no problem and make infinite gils.


My REAL question is has any1 made a list of gil-making profit list on synth items ?

The only other two synths that give a profit are Desert Boots and something else I don't remember, and Desert Boots are 40 gil per- pretty negligible when Cotton Robes are 15x as efficient, and neither other profit synthesis can be duplicated with it.

So I guess "Cotton Robe" is the only source of gil-maker in the game then. That's a shame.

Even Cotton Robes aren't the most efficient means of farming gil in this game- repeatedly killing Adamantoise (found on Uaho Island 100% of the time outside forests) with the Millionaire Ability equipped is more efficient. However, that was compared on the console version, and this version definitely allows a few ways to speed up that process.

Or you can just cut out the time spent running back and forth 150 times and just max your gil with a booster, I guess that works :P

I'm more of a farming and grinder and I was thinking about using max gils booster once I have access to airshap since that would basically mean I can get infnite gils with this 60k profit method.

Once you turn on the max gills booster you cant turn it off, and gives you infinate gill anyway. personally ive only used the cotton robe trick in lindblum the first time. you dont need stupid amounts of gill in this game.

Actually, the max gil booster doesn't give you infinite- just 9,999,999. That can actually be spent down to 0 and doesn't refill automatically- though that may require relaunching the game. I haven't looked too much into it outside of a booster heavy playthrough just to see what it would be like.

my bad, i guess i just assumed it'd give you infinate gill permanatly unless re-loading before that or starting a new game. i heard that there were some boost's you couldnt turn off and assumed gill would be one of them. i just was never interested in seeing which was which,
