chocobo quest really high speed?

wanting to get this game after playing it as a kid on PS1.,, but i have a bad memory of the chocobo treasure hunt being the most infuriating time consuming side quest of all my final fantasy playing career.. i see this steam version has a high speed function?

please tell me that speed setting would make the chocobo kweh! thing much faster-- as i remember the items you get at the end are super OP,, after hours of digging up garbage from the chocobo places. i remember having the chocobo forest song stuck in my head for days as a kid and don't want to go through that ever again.

you can search and dig faster with the speedhack option and the timer isn't affected so it's easier to farm

As mentioned above, you're able to use the speed setting to make the choco hot and cold easier. Another tip as well, set your Chocobo to walk instead of run, it makes controlling it a LOT easier too. Also mentioned above, it doesn't affect the timer, so you can almost always find all items that are hidden each time.
