Is there a trick to digging up chocographs?

I typically find 2 or 3 things each time, but it normally takes 5+ digs to get a chocograph if I'm lucky. Is there a way to increase my odds?

Oh no, sorry I meant I'm digging up 2 or 3 ITEMS in general. As in like potions or gil. I wish I was finding that many chocographs haha

By utilizing the speed-up function within the game it is pretty easy do dig up all eight items. This gives quite decent chances for finding chocographs. However, increasing the odds by itself isn't possible.
