Cant seem to figure out how to get Whale Whisker for Dagger

Am I just meant to play chocobo hot and cold until I get the right map? And if so, where do I look for it? In the forest or the laggoon?

It's the Ocean chocograph. You get it in the lagoon, but you need an ocean chocobo to unlock it. (you get river -> mountain -> ocean -> flying chocobo in that order)

ah thanks a lot! i was looking for it in the forest for ages, i got 18 of them and that one is not one of them sadly lol, ill just keep digging around
