Treasure Hunter Rank S

So i'm at the end game, before going into memoria. I've collected all the chocographs and hidden treasures and visited everywhere on the map. My rank however is C... I'm a little confused because i feel i've collected practically everything.. probably 90% of all treasure chests also.. what could i possibly be missing that amounts to 3 ranks short?
I know you don't need to have gained everything in the game to achieve S

Do items given/gifted/found also count? regardless i feel i've found most of those to. I've bought everything from the Treno auction house, located and returned all Stellazzio earning the Hammer.
Other then the mayors key and 1 of the types of coffee i know of nothing i've missed.

I'm playing the Xbone version in case anyone was wondering.

Did you find every treasures on the map with the chocobo ? since it give many points... it should explain why you rank is still low

you also have to have interacted with every ! that appears. where zidane says something about the surroundings. for some reason they add to the score.

Thanks for the link, but yes i've now completed Hot n Cold and found every hidden treasure through dead peppers.

Says 75% of the counted treasures are required for S.. I must have like 74% lol
I'm no stranger to the game, i've played through probably about 50 times over my life and i'm pretty OCD about collectables/treasures etc..

Wasn't aware that counted, feel i've hit all if not most in the game though.

Was hoping Hot n Cold was something i wouldn't bother with in my second run of this version but thats not looking like the case now :(

Wiki doesn't say if cards count.. i assume they don't?

Nope, the cards doesn't count :/
i guess you miss some (!) field icons (each one give 1 point / 340 needed)

If you think you are very close, just go throught memoria for chests / field icons and exit before last bosses

Thanks, couldn't remember if all of memoria was a point of no return.. can you go as far as the final save point? which i'm remembering as the one in the big crystal room where you can battle Hades.

if i'm right, you can teleport (to the entrance or ship don't remember that) at the last save point in the Crystal room (just before last bosses)
