Accidentally fought a friendly monster

I encountered a squirrel that asked for an ore, but I had auto-battle on and accidentally attacked it. I looked it up and found out it's a side-quest. Is it possible to encounter it again after attacking it? How rare is it?

Yes, it happened the same with me, he'll appear again, try in the forests around Dali

He'll show up again if you attack him. Sometimes you might have to attack the friendly monster to go away because you don't have the item that they want. The friendly monsters sidequest is definitely worth your time, there's about 10 of them or so and not only is the reward item for the whole thing really good, but each one grants a lot of AP for learning abilities. Some people like to do them as they progress through the game, others like to save them for towards the end when they have a lot of extra abilities to learn.

and as extra if you found all friendly monster and gave them ore/lapislazuli/emerald/and the others and got them i think before cd3 you can attack yami in chocobos air garden with physic insted or try cast magic its a pain in the ass with out hit physic..
