Pandemonium boss battles

I've been using the Final Fantasy IX IGN walkthrough to find all the hidden items in Terra, Bran Bal and Pandemonium because I've heard that you can't go back there once you have defeat the final boss in Pandemonium. In this walkthrough it recommends that for the Silver Dragon and Garland you should use Reflect or Auto-Reflect so I equipped all of my party with Auto-Reflect and I beat them easily. I didn't expect to go straight the final boss after those 2 bosses without being able to edit the abilities or items equipped and then I realised that this boss uses Flare Star if a character uses Reflect or is equipped with Auto-Reflect after looking on another website. This makes me think that the IGN walkthrough is very silly unless there is some way I can remove Auto-Reflect during the final boss battle. Can I remove Auto-Reflect during the battle or should I find a different way to beat the first and second bosses so that I don't have the same problem with Flare Star? Could anyone reading this discussion recommend any different abilites to Auto-Reflect which could be useful for these 3 boss battles instead? I decided to use Vivi, Eiko, Quina (with most Blue Magic spells available) and Zidane (who is the default character) in these 3 boss battles but I could change them if other characters are better and I have access to their abilities and spells or attacks.

I last cleared those guys at around level 45-50. I used Zidane, Vivi, Garnet and Eiko. I think i used Theivery with zidane, the more you steal the stronger it gets. Flare for Vivi. Odin's sword skill for Garnet with a low amount of Ore in your inventory is good for damage if not just have her heal. Eiko's good for Holy and emergancy healing. i tend to have Auto-regen, Auto-float on.

Flare star dose damage based on your level. cant remember the exact calculation off the top of my head. think it's something like 30x your level.
