Save File Transfer from iOS to PC

Because I just spent an hour figuring this out, I thought that I could save others the trouble. It is possible to move the save file from the iOS version of FF IX to steam but is somewhat complicated (so please be careful and understand that you may lose your save file if this is done incorrectly).

First, make sure that you have iCloud Drive enabled on your device and upload a save to the cloud from within the app (I believe that this triggers the syncing event).

Next, you will need a computer with access to iCloud Drive. I don't know where the location of the file would be when accessing the file on a pc but you can find the file on a Mac in ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/iCloud~com~square-enix~final-fantasy-ix-ww/Documents/FF9SaveDocument/FF9CloudSaveFile.sav

Because these files are synced with the cloud, be careful not to alter these files (copy out, but don't rename here).

Third, you will need to copy that save file to your PC running FFIX and rename the file as SavedData_ww.dat and place it in C:\Users\username\appdata\LocalLow\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy IX\Steam\EncryptedSavedData
