Battle not starting, game crashes

Sometimes after the swirl the battle won't start and i can't do anything else other than close it. How to fix this?

There is no fix yet. It broke after the last patch. I have the same issue.

Is this still a known issue. Just had it happen a second time in the past 2 or 3 days since I started playing again. This time I entered battle, but the screen just got stuck at the black screen with the boss music going. Had to use task manager to close the game.

I've experienced it twice so far, not often, a little annoing though.
If it hit on a point far from a save point that would be sad

This happens to me after around every hour and a half to 2 hours. I can run around with battles turned off and the moment i turn battles back on after ive been playing for a while, it will black screen and wont load the battle.

Also if i have been playing for around an hour or 2 without a crash and i have just finished an area with a long set of story scenes and no battles, then i will normally black screen as soon as i get into a battle. I have to remember to save at these times.

It doesn't seem to be random to me. It will always happen after a couple of hours. I don't know how I have had this patience to complete this game!

still happening up to now. very frustrating when you're grinding, and you haven't sved the game in a while. this version of the game is a waste of money. too many problems making it unplayable to be honest. the team did not do a great job "remastering" this. Such a disgrace for a masterpiece of a game.
