Any way to track friendly monsters?

I'm missing one, and I'm like 99% sure it's the Mu or Ghost, but I've been trying to encounter them for an hour with no luck. Is there some sort of file or something you can check to see what you're missing? I found a friendly Yan faster than this...

There is no way to track them unless you remember which one specifically you missed. I had this problem too when I reached the Friendly Ram on Vile Island and it ran away from me for the first time and I was 100% sure I had met all of the other ones. So I went through the list of them and tried to remember as best I could to figure out which one I missed and I eventually realized I missed the Jabberwocky because I did not walk on the continent at all so I never got near a forest :P

I thankfully remember doing every special gemstone request as well as the ladybug, but for the life of me I cannot find either the Mu or the Ghost so it's starting to make me paranoid. Also annoyed, because holy ♥♥♥♥ there is no benefit to grinding in those early game spots. Should've neglected Steiner like I usually do just so I could justify the XP/AP
