Kill Tantarian with 0 exp?

I'm trying to complete the game with perfect save file (every item and key item, max base stats , etc.) and my question is:
Is there a way to kill Tantarian and gain 0 exp?

if you're going for max base stats I assume that you're doing a lv 1 playthrough, no?

in any case the 'Virus' status effect on your party members should prevent any exp/ap gain from any opponent.

there's multiple ways to get affected by virus, just google it.

In the vanilla game there is no way to kill tantarian without gaining exp.
On disk 2 there is no way to get virus or zombie on your party when you can fight him.
Prior to the option on disk 3, your party gets cured of all status effects, including zombie.

If you are going for max base stats, you should kill him on disk 3, making sure that everyone who survives the battle does not have stat-boosting equipment.
The "easiest" way to kill him is using Zidane's Lucky 7.
(Disk 3 because A: no time limit, B: stronger party/equipment, C: (most importantly) you have reqruited all 8 party members at lv 1)
Once you have all 8 party members you can get all the exp you want, just make sure you don't have any stat boosting equipment on when someone gains a level.

The only other place where you can not avoid experience is in the YANA battles in Pandemomium.
