Road to the 3rd Public Playtest

With the 2nd playtest wrapped up, now it's time to prepare the next big milestone, the 3rd Public Playtest! During the playtest we received a massive amount of suggestions and bugs and now it's time to analyze and prioritize them. There are some pain points to address and the some of the most important ones are the following ones

Improving the Onboarding / Tutorial experience for new players

While we want to not handhold players a lot, a bare minimum is needed for the first steps.

Crafting & refining too punishing.

We believe the main problem is that we dont have any marketplace or way to buy materials from players so we will be waiting for 3rd playtest and how it feels with marketplace + trading features before blancing those systems further.

Kill stealing / Mob-competition / Selfish solo play

We will be implementing some mecanisms on mobbing and killstealing, right now is the wild west and we cant just tell players to "behave", game should help enforce that

Balance & Class/less system problems

Lots of people like the current classless system even tho balance is not really good yet and a lot of people likes class based. This system will be iterated on each playtest so stay tunned for 3rd playtest changes!

Lack of content

This problem is more an expectations & communication problem. I feel we are doing a terrible job at communicating the early stages of the game and having no roadmap doesnt help. This is not easily solvable since content require time so we have to just wait for it

Performance & Lag

2nd playtest only had one EUW server so people from US, South America, Asia and other regions had some huge ping issues. Our goal for 3rd playtest is to have at least 2 servers (America & Europe).
Server struggled to handle 150+ players, one of the most important task for the 3rd job will be radically improve server and client performance. We already started with this one.

New features!

Player vending / marketplace
Chat improvements (channels)
Player trading (1 to 1)
Party improvements (settings, xp range share, loot modes...)
Autoloot? let's see

New content!

The 3rd playtest will contain a new Island with everything that this means (Monsters, Drops, secrets...)

2nd Playtest is coming!

Playtest is nearly here and I would like to share some info about it.

Start Date: 10/04/2026 17:00 GMT+1

End Date: 17/04/2026 17:00 GMT+1

Who can join?: Everyone, just join the playtest directly from steam!

The playtest will be public and only 1 server will be available (EUW).

The data from the previous playtest has been wiped so you will start over in this playtest! (this is totally expected at this development phase of the game)

New features!

New Archetype: Blacksmith

This new archetype combines combat and crafting passives, check it out!

Rogue: Completed

The rogue archetype have been fully implemented with tons of passives and new actives.

Quest System

New quest system has been implemented, tutorial and very few quests has been added

Soul Socketing System

Each enemy can drop a soul with very little chance (is usually the best drop a mob can give)
They are usable items and can be put inside gear.
Each card has its own type of gear to be used on (example, weapon, shield, chest, accessory,...)
When you use it, a list of valid gear will be prompted to choose from
After the soul is inserted in a gear, it is consumed and cannot be removed (for now at least :))
Souls give a huge variety of bonuses to the gear
You can check what souls a gear has by looking at the tooltip (last image)

Character creation

Multiple characters can now be created!
A simple player customization has been implemented

Storage

Implemented storage to share items across all your characters

Bestiary

Brand new feature has been implemented, you'll discover all the world monsters, their stats and their drops right in the game

Lowen Island

A new city has been implemented! this will be the players hub to trade and prepare for the next adventures!

Whispering Island

Our very first island has been completed, MANY maps has been implemented

Blurry rendering distance? Hurting my eyes

Is there a way to turn off the blurry background distance? I can't look at this game without my eyes hurting

Any chance to change the fornt style and size?

I found it super hard to read anything inside the game... even with windows magnifier I can barely distinguish the letters, maybe because the "bold" and not just the small size. Please, consider making it more readable.
