What is the TTG Account for?
It mentions some "members-only" content, but can't see any information about it.

With the TTG account, you can see your choices compared to other peoples choices, but I think that's it. Hope that helped!

Thanks, so it is useless then. Would have been nice if you could use it to play it on different platforms, e.g. on PC at home and on Android on the way.

Ignore Pauliewogger, they're wrong.

Having a TTG account is basically "Facebook on IOS games"
It saves your progress to a cloud, so you can play it on any platform and your choices will remain the same across platforms.

So yes, it does allow you to play on all devices. For example;

I got ALL MSM on my phone, but then wanted it on my laptop for season 2. Turns out, that I didn't need to buy the DLC since I could transfer my data from the DLC on my phone to my computer cloud, so I haven't missed any of the story. Sounds confusing, but I makes sense.

To bad that you still have to buy it on all platforms if you want to play it crossplatform. E.g. I bought it on Steam, but can't play it on my smartphone or tablet without buying it again.

So still useless.

Isn't that pretty much how it always is if you want to play cross-platform?

Not always. Quite a lot of games are cross buy for example between the PS3/4 and the Vita. Some games if you buy from Microsoft you can play it on XB or PC.

I have a telltale account, but none of my choices show up online. For this, or for Game of Thrones. So, it seems pretty useless.
