If you haven't heard the original sounds for the Rex and Utah, a YouTuber called Bushzilla might still have videos of it on his channel. They were older models, but I suggest you check them out to compare the sounds.
Sound effects are definitely covered by copyright laws if created by the in house production team. I'm sure there are means to prove too that it is or isn't the same sound.
That being said, earlier responses make it seem like the devs and Universal used a sound effect from a royalty free or at least public sound library.
Took a bit of work to edit out the squeaks of their shells on each other.
You just ruined my childhood...

P.S. I love your sound work on this game. The Isle has some of the best dinosaur sounds of any dinosaur game.
